Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 18 of 28 days of the month of February, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Ministry of the Word of God’ – He send His word for guidance.
There are many people in the Bible that received the word of God and in some as guidance. It was clear that the word of the Lord came to them as a guide in the mist of confusion or the other in their life. One of the spectacular characteristics of the Word of God is that the Word does provide a specific and clear direction or instruction. Once the word of God is in operation, it cannot be returned empty handed and helped to navigate difficult situation. In today’s Daily Meditation, we use Elijah the Tishbite:
Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 3 “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. 4 And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
5 So he went and did according to the word of the Lord, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook. 7 And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
(1 Kings 17:2-7).
He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20).
