Your Devotional message for 17th October 2022
Scripture:
“I am the Alphaand the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 17of the 31 days of the month of October , we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series‘‘The Name of the Lord’ – The Alpha and the Omega
Yesterday, we meditated on the name of Our God, that is the God of glory. We shall further meditate on another name of God – The Alpha and the Omegathat was used in the Book of Revelation.Alpha (Α or α) and omega (Ω or ω) are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, signifying the Beginning and the End. While John was in the Island of Patmos the prophecy came:
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8).
He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life (Revelation 21:6).
I pray for you that May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and increase your numbers until you become a community of peoples in the name of Jesus Christ.
