Your Devotional Message for 17th October
Scripture:
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Explanation:
We continue today, day 17 of the 31 days of this series called ‘The Lord Spoke’.
The purpose of this series is ushering you to a deeper study and meditation on hearing the Voice of God. Several scriptures confirm how the word of the Lord came to His people. God has never seized to speak through His Word. Today we will gain further understanding of the theme ‘hearing the Voice of God’, more importantly through His Thought in your mind. God can speak to you through your mind by the flowing thought in your mind as a righteous person. That is why it is important to have your mind engraved with the mind of Christ. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5).
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Therefore, let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you (Philippians 3:15). Learning to hear God speak to you in your mind is exciting. However, you must be able to discern your thought if in alignment with God’s word. The thoughts in your mind can come from three different sources: your own carnal mind, your renewed spirit that is in union with God or the devil. Your must renew your mind from evil thought constantly. Glory be to God.

Your must renew your mind with the word of God:
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2).
Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour?
If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today by repenting from all your sins and make Him the Lord of your life.

Faith Confession for Grace and Power:
Our Father, Thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural enablement. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Teacher and Partner. Lord show me Your glory. I declare that my spiritual ears, eyes, and other spiritual senses are opened to His divine revelations.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
