Your Devotional Message for 17th November
Scripture:
But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil (Hebrews 5:12).
Explanation:
We discussed yesterday that there is need for the activation of the spiritual gifts and so also is the activation of your spiritual senses. Science confirms that we have in our body, physical senses such as sight (Vision), Hearing (Auditory), Taste (Gustatory), Smell (Olfactory), and Touch (Tactile). Likewise, these physical senses are duplicated in the spirit of a man in a dormant form.
We will continue in our Daily Meditation today, day 17 of 30 days of our series called living ‘the Higher spiritual life in Christ Jesus’ in which we have been called. We will meditate on scriptures that pertain to exercising your spiritual senses. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil (Hebrews 5:12). This is not about physical solid food. As the spirit controls physical, so also the spiritual senses are meant to control the physical senses. Therefore, you need to activate your spiritual senses and have them exercised. Your spiritual senses can allow you to discern the presence of a spirit within your vicinity. To another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:10).
To experience the higher manifestations of the life in Christ Jesus, for greater works, healings, deliverance, signs and wonder supernaturally you need to stir up the gift of God in you.
How do you stir up the gift inside you?
It is by activating the power inside of you by spiritual exercises or by conditioning your spirit that is the more Holy Spirit is inside of you.
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit (Jude 1:20).
Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour?
Today, let me challenge you that Jesus Christ has paid the price and wants you to be his disciple. If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today by repenting from all your sins and accept Him as Your Lord and saviour.
Thanks be to God for His fullness, grace and His victory. Glory be to God!
In the Month of November 2021, do not miss any day as we meditate on ‘Higher Spiritual life in Christ’
Faith Confession of the Month:
Our Father, thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural ability at work in me. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Partner. I operate in the Higher dimension of the spirit through the Word of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit. I have the glory of God. I declare that my spiritual ears, eyes, and other spiritual senses are exercised for His divine revelations.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God. I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
