Biblical text:
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).
Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 17 of 28 days of the month of February, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Ministry of the Word of God’ – The Word does not return back void.
One of the spectacular characteristics of the Word of God is that the Word does not return back void. Once the word of God is in operation, it cannot be returned back empty handed. The word of God is a lamp to your feet. As the Word gives light, your feet is illuminated so as to give you a specific direction or instruction to take especially when you do not know the direction to take in the mist of confusion.
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower
and bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 54:10-11).
He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20).
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Further Scriptures:
Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass (Joshua 21:45).
