Biblical text:
But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him (1 John 2:27).
Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 16 of 31 days of the month of February, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘‘The Power of God’’ – The Anointing.
The Anointing the tangible expression of the power or presence of God for a change. It is the idea of God that we are carrier of His Kingdom and power within us. As you are carrier of God’s power, God wants you to be a vessel that showcase His power just as he showed His power through Christ Jesus. May we showcase His power on earth in the name of Jesus Christ.
It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,
And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil (Isaiah 10:27).
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him (Acts 10:38).
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord (James 5:14).
And He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power” (Mark 9:1).
And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease (Matthew 10:1).
And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits (Mark 6:7).
And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all (Acts 4:33).
