Your Devotional Message for 16th December
Scripture:
“But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God ”(Luke 4:4)
Explanation:
In Today Daily Meditation, day 16 of 30 days we will do a further expose on our new series called ‘Victory in Christ Jesus’over spirit of Goliath.The purpose of this series is to gain and apply the knowledge of the Victory purchasedby the Lord Jesus Christ.But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57).
In today Daily Meditation, we will meditate on scriptures on the victory in Christ Jesus over the spirit of Goliath. By the spirit of Goliath,it means whatsoever in your life that is a battle or a dreadful situation or a reproach in your life, a huge mountain, boastful wicked adversary that can kill and back up by demonic spirit. We will use the case when the Philistines came to fight against Israel on a mountain, a champion came out from the camp of Philistines, named Goliath from Gath. Goliath said that I defy the armies of Israel this day, give me a man, that we may fight together (1 Samuel 17:10). This was a terrifying situation that the men of Israel when they saw the man they fled and were dreadfully afraid. “And when the Philistine looked about and saw David, he disdained him; for he was only a youth, ruddy and good-looking. So, the Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. And the Philistine said to David, “Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!”(1 Samuel 17:42-44). Goliath came to the battle with demonic power backed him. Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied(1 Samuel 17:45). David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and stone, and Goliath fell flat and gave up his ghost and Philistines fell, and they fled.
The good news is that Christ demonstrated to us through the Gospel and His Word how to defeat the adversaries. “But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God ”(Luke 4:4).Jesus Christ went on to the Cross and nailed our sins and reproach onto the Cross. You can demand freedom over the spirit of Goliath through the Power of God. Therefore, if the son makes you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:36).
The Holy Spirit has been given to us to set us free from any bondage. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father” (Romans 8:12).

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force (Matthew 11:12).
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death (Revelation 12:11).
In conclusion, you must pray and silence the voice of Goliath working against any area of your life.

Today, let me challenge you that Jesus Christ has paid the price and wants you to be his disciple. If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today by repenting from all your sins and accept Him as Your Lord and saviour.

Faith Confession of the Month:
Our Father, thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural ability at work in me. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Partner. I operate in the Higher dimension of the spirit through the Word of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit. I have victoried every day of my life.
I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God. It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
