Your Devotional message for 16th June, 2023.
Scripture:
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 16 of the 30 days of the month of June, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The God that answers prayers’ –By His mercy.
Our God gives mercy to those who ask and deserves to receive His mercy. The benefits of mercy include the forgiveness of sins, receiving healing, His blessing, His breakthrough, and justification from judgement. As we approach God humbly at the place of prayers and cry out for mercy of God, we come to receive grace and obtain mercy in our dear time.
The scripture says:Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled (Psalm 6:2).
The people of Israel were delivered from Egyptian bondage by His mercy:
You in Your mercy have led forth the people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength To Your holy habitation (Exodus 15:13)
But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord, in the acceptable time; O God, in the multitude of Your mercy, Hear me in the truth of Your salvation (Psalm 69:13).
O Lord manifest your great wonders through Your mighty power in me today that will glorify Your name for good.
The Blind Bartimaeus cried out for mercy:
And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”(Mark 10:47).
Here are further scriptures:
‘The Lord is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’ (Number 14:18).
Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour?
Today, let me encourage you that Jesus Christ came for your salvation and to give you freely Eternal life. If you are yet to receive Christ, do so today by repentance from all your sins and confess Jesus Christ as Your Lord and saviour.
I pray with you today, may you experience a supernatural manifestation of healings, deliverance, signs and wonders in your life, marriage, finance, business, and family in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Glory be to God!
