Joy in the Holy Ghost
Joy in the Holy Ghost

Your Devotional message for 16th Feb 2021

Scriptures:

For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17).

Explanation:

One of the misunderstandings of many people is to think that to be happy is the same as to be joyful. Though it is not the purpose of today’s Meditation, but real Joy is a fruit of the Spirit. It emerges from your spirit under the influence of the Holy Spirit.

In today Daily Meditation, day 16 of 28  days, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating toour new series the ‘The Kingdom of God’-Joy in the Holy Ghostas the third attributes of the Kingdom of God.

For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). Joy can be provoked by effort you made. Joy flows from the human spirit and God is the Giver of Joy. Sing to Him a new song; play skilfully with a shout of joy (Psalm 33:3)

For instance, during the reign of King Hezekiah, the children of Israel were present at Jerusalem as they kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with great gladness; and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord Day by day, singing to the Lord, accompanied by loud instruments (2 Chronicles 30:21). Hezekiah gave so much towards the feast. So, there was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the time of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem(2 Chronicles 30:26).

Here are a few scriptures why righteousness is beneficial:
“Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, So, that no one went through you, I will make you an eternal excellence, A joy of many generations” (Isaiah 60:15).

Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You shall judge the people righteously and govern the nations on earth. Selah (Psalm 67:4).

And they worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy (Luke 24:52).

These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full (John 15:11).

And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit (Acts 13:52).

Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour?

Today, let me challenge you that Jesus Christ came for your salvation and to give you freely Eternal life. If you are yet to receive Christ, do so today by repentance from all your sins and confessJesus Christ as Your Lord and saviour.

Glory be to God!

In the Month of February, stay connected as  we will study and  meditate on ‘The Kingdom of God’

Faith Confession of the Month:

Our Father, thank you for my salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, eternal life, and supernatural ability at work in me. The Holy Spirit is my Senior Partner. I operate in the Higher dimension of the Power of the Holy Spirit. I am more than a conqueror  every day of my life.

Thy Kingdom come and Your will be done in my life as it is in Heaven. I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my  Spirit, soul, and body. It is written, “And my speech and my preaching will not be  with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. My life is prospering, flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance  and victory  are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
