Your Devotional Message for 15th October

Scripture: The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty (Psalm 29:4).

Explanation:

We continue today, day 15 of the 31 days of our new series called when ‘The Lord Spoke’.

The purpose of this series is ushering you to a deeper study and meditation on hearing the Voice of God. Several scriptures confirm how the word of the Lord came to His people. God has never seized to speak through His Word. Today we will gain further understanding of the theme ‘hearing the Voice of God’, more importantly not only by  the audible voice of the Lord, but also by the still small voice of the Lord. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty (Psalm 29:4). The people of Israel had much encounter with God and the audible voice of the Lord. Have you ever listened to a little still gentle voice within you telling you what to do? You ought to be in a quite moment to appreciate the still small voice of the Lord. Practice His presence.

Here are a few other examples of the scriptures expounding onHearing thestill small voice of the Lord.

We explore what happened to Elijah following escapes from Jezebel.

Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.

So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”(1 Kings 19:11-13).

In the Month of October 2021, do not miss any day as  we will be meditating on ‘When the Lord Speaks’

Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour?

If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus,  do so today by repenting  from all your sins and make Him the Lord of your life. Thanks be to God for His fullness,  grace and His victory.  Glory be to God!

Faith Confession for Grace and Power:

Our Father, Thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural enablement.  And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Teacher and Partner. Lord show me Your glory. I declare that my spiritual ears, eyes, and other spiritual senses are opened to His divine revelations.

It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4).Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my  Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God. I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost.  I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance  and victory  are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
