Your Devotional Message for 15th December
Scripture:
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage (Exodus 20:2).
Explanation:
By bondage, it means a state of slavery. Although physical slavery exists and is being faded away, however spiritual slavery is even harder for those who are victims of evil work sand are predominantly common today. In this case, the devil takes advantage of ignorance and keeps many in spiritual bondage. In Today Daily Meditation, day 15 of 30 days we will do a further expose on our new series called ‘Victory in Christ Jesus’over spirit of bondage. The purpose of this series is to gain and apply the knowledge of the Victory purchased by the Lord Jesus Christ. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57).
In today Daily Meditation, we will meditate on scriptures on the victory in Christ Jesusover the spirit of bondage. The spirit of bondage is an evil spirit that makes its prey to experience yoke of bondage such as hardship, wickedness, fear, poverty, toiling, cruelty, stagnation, and fruitless effort. Any attempt to solve spiritual bondage with physical elements is a foolishness. The children of Israel were under hard bondage in Egypt. Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage(Exodus 2:23). God with an outstretched Hand brought them out.“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage” (Exodus 20:2).
The good news is that Christ went on to the Cross to nail our sins and bondage on the Cross. You can demand freedom from bondage through the Power of God. Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:36).
The Holy Spirit has been given to us to set us free from any bondage. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father” (Romans 8:12).
Here are a few of the other scriptures expounding on the Victory over the spirit of bondage
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage (Galatians 5:1).
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1-2). There are 2 Spiritual laws explained here – First is the Law of sin and death which is lesser than the Law of Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
In conclusion, you must be grateful that God sent Jesus Christ to save us from yoke of bondage.
Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour?
Today, let me challenge you that Jesus Christ has paid the price and wants you to be his disciple. If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today by repenting from all your sins and accept Him as Your Lord and saviour.
Thanks be to God for His fullness, grace and His victory. Glory be to God!
In the Month of December 2021, do not miss any day as we meditate on ‘Victory in Christ Jesus’
Faith Confession of the Month:
Our Father, thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural ability at work in me. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Partner. I operate in the Higher dimension of the spirit through the Word of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit. I have victoried every day of my life.
I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healing, miracles, signs, and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God. It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
