Biblical text:

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105).

Explanation:

Daily Meditation, day 15 of 28 days of the month of February, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Ministry of the Word of God’ – Your word is a lamp to my feet.

The word of God is a lamp to your feet.  As the Word gives light, your feet is illuminated so as to give you a specific direction or instruction to take especially when you do not know the direction to take in the mist of confusion. The Word of God can light your lamps.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105).

For You will light my lamp; The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness (Psalm 18:28).
There I will make the horn of David grow; I will prepare a lamp for My Anointed (Psalm 132:17).
“Command the children of Israel that they bring to you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually (Leviticus 24:2).

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.  And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it (John 1:1-5).

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Further Scriptures:
Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass (Joshua 21:45).
