Your Devotional message for 14th August 2021
Scripture:
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith (Romans 12:6).
Explanation:
In today, day 14 of 31 days of the Daily Meditation, on this series of the Grace and Mercy of God we will explore the different gifts of God differing according to the grace given to us by God. The purpose of this series is ushering us to a deeper study on the knowledge of God regarding Grace and Mercy. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith (Romans 12:6). We will examine the grace for individual gifting. I pray that the Grace and Mercy of God will be multiplied to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Here are a few of the other scriptures expounding on the grace for riches:
Grace was given according to the measure of gift:
But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore, He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men” (Ephesians 4:7-8).
Of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power Ephesians 3:7).
Examples of Spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit:
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues (1 Corinthians 12: 7-10).
Paul wrote to the believers in Corinth to covet the best gifts of the Holy Spirit:
But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way (1 Corinthians 12:31).
The purpose of the gifts is for the edification of the church:
Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel (1 Corinthians 13:2).
Finally, you must grow in the grace by the Word of God:
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).
Are you facing temptation or challenges of life and has been told there is no solution?
Then you need the grace of God as a gift of His divine ability to work things out for you. “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today and repent from all your sins and make Him the Lord of your life.
Thanks be to God for His fullness, grace and His victory. Glory be to God!
Stay tune as we shall continue further tomorrow. Remain uncommonly blessed.
In the Month of August 2021, do not miss any day as we will be exploring ‘The Grace and Mercy of God’
Faith Confession for Grace and Power:
Our Father, Thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural enablement. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Teacher and Partner.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
Further Reading scriptures to meditate:
Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands (2 Timothy 1:6).
