Your Devotional message for 14th May 2021
Scripture:
“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, and day and night Shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22).
Explanation;
If you are reading today’s Daily Meditation, you have only joined us at day 14th of the 30 days program. In fact, we have a lot to cover and share which will be difficult to cover within 31 days. The physical laws that operate within the earth for instance the Law of gravity is very important. These physical laws are indisputable and are already proven to exist. So likewise, there are spiritual laws that governs prosperity. If you apply force on a stationery object, it will move proportionate to the applied force with the Law of Motion. Likewise, the Scripture exposes us to certain Spiritual laws. They are prevailing and controlling many aspects of our human life. It is very easy to ignore or dismiss that these spiritual laws do not apply today. The reality of their consequences cannot be overlooked. Life is spiritual. In this context, we will discuss a few spiritual laws that influence prosperity and wealth.
1.Wealth by design of God
God gives the Power to get wealth:
“And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day” (Deuteronomy 8:18).
The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the ash heap, to set them among princes and make them inherit the throne of glory. “For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and He has set the world upon them (1 Samuel 2:7-8, NKJV).
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head overall. Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign overall.
In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all (1 Chronicles 29:11-13).
The blessing of the Lord makes rich: The blessing of the Lord is a Powerful force that make a righteous to be rich. The Lord told the people of Israel that if they obey His voice and observe His commandments, according to Deuteronomy 28:2, and all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God.
The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22, NKJV).
- The Law of sowing and reaping:
There are seasons, time for sowing and reaping the harvest. “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, and day and night Shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22). The law of sowing and reaping applies to any profession, business, and wealth creation. A man that fails to sow will not reap in the time of harvest. Having businesses are major source of wealth.
There are also people who have indulgently decided to take alternative evil ways to acquire wealth and prosperity. This is very costly and has serious implication. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap (Galatians 6:7). This law has both physical and spiritual connection. The spiritual law is connected to whatever you sow as evil or good can affect you and your generation. This is crucial in mapping certain issues that emanate within certain Generation. Imagine a man who has sown evils, the effects will likely be seen later in life and unto his fourth generations. The reason is that God has said: “You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me (Exodus 20:5, NKJV).
Key to these fundamental principles, study and meditate upon the Word of God.
I will recommend you to read the book called 33 Irrevocable Laws of Wealth Creation written by Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo.
