Your Devotional message for 14th July 2021
Scripture:
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands (Psalms 19:1).
Explanation:
In our day 14 of 31 days of the Daily Meditation on the theme basking in the Glory of God, we will look at provoking the manifested glory of God. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands (Psalms 19:1). Let us examine examples of what others did to provoke the Shekinah glory that manifested in the Bible. We may not be able to cover all episodes in the brevity of time.
Build an altar: In our previous episodes I explained the importance of altar of God. Today we build an altar of prayer.
Moses instructed according to the word of the Lord to build an altar (Exodus 24:4).
Now the glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day He called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud. 17 The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel (Exodus 24:16-17).
Obedience to the Word of the Lord:
Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the Lord has said we will do, and be obedient.” (Exodus 24:7).
Worship and Praise – giving glory to God:
Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples (1 Chronicles 16:24).
Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! (1 Chronicles 16:29).
Prayer to God: Solomon offered unto God an unusual sacrificial offering and while praying the glory of God came down. When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple (2 Chronicles 7:2).
Expectation: looking diligently unto God to manifest:
Now it came to pass, as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud (Exodus 16:10).
I pray for you that may you experience today the manifested glory of God and
‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts”(Haggai 2:9).
Glory be to God.
Say I am a carrier of the glory of God. Study and meditate on the Word of God. Pray in the Spirit often. Expect and ask God to manifest His Glory and the Angelic ministration.
Thanks be to God for His glory.
Stay tune as we shall continue further tomorrow. Remain uncommonly blessed.
In the Month of July 2021, do not miss any day as we will be exploring ‘Basking in the glory of God’
Faith Confession for Power:
Thank you, Lord for the Spirit of the Lord is at work in me. Let the sight of the glory of the Lord be as a consuming fire around my life that make my adversaries to flee.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching will not be with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority and power to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me. Therefore, I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I operate in the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth like Fire and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the power and the glory of God.
I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Prosperity and success are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
