Your Devotional message for 14th April 2021
Scripture:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken heartedness, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:17-19, NKJV).
Explanation:
The anointing of the Holy Spirit is indispensable for supernatural works of God especially the Divine Health and healing. A few years when I was growing up, I did not really understand this statement regarding the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares narrated by the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ spoke in Parable using the Wheat and the Tares. The striking sentence was ‘but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way’ (Mathew 13:25, NKJV). Tares are those evil things sown in the spirit of a man through the act of wickedness of the devil and his agents. Those days I was literally thinking the meaning as to mean the physical wheat and Tares whereas these were spiritually coded words. However, this statement became clearer later to my understanding after I had an Angelic encounter Who expounded that certain diseases in Human body entered through the soul and spirit of a man in the unconscious state while he or she is asleep. Many people may seem less likely to be ignorant of this fact both. A lack of this awareness can result into fatality and mortality.
Understanding of the anointing of the Holy Spirit is a key to destroying such tares. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is the unction or the Power of the Holy Spirit that comes and allows one to carry out the spiritual assignment. The anointing in the Old statement is initiated through the anointing oil. And you shall take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him (Exodus 29:7). This anointing was used for consecration by the priest. Also, Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and consecrated them (Leviticus 8:10, NKJV). Unlike today the anointing is in you if you are a child of God. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him (1 John 2:27, NKJV).
Jesus Christ was soaked in the Holy Ghost. In Acts 10:38, we understood ‘how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.’ Jesus Christ was anointed through the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. He went about the Father’s business by healing all who were oppressed by the devil.
The Presence and the Power brings manifestation of the Acts and Works of God through the Anointing. In Luke 5:17, is a good example. Prior to Jesus Christ healing the Paralytic, the power of the Lord was present to heal the sicks. Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. Jesus Christ healed this man of paralysis. This was exactly the case when the multitudes saw this power demonstrated as he healed the Paralytic, they marvelled and glorified God, who had given such power to men (Matthew 9:8).
The Power of God when activated produces results intended by the Father. The Holy Spirit in the spirit of a son has the role of providing Divine health and healings. The same Holy Spirit is the Power that heals the sicks. And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken heartedness, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. ”Then He closed the book and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him (Luke 4:17-20, NKJV).
The anointing here can heal the wound and brokenness in the Spirit, bondage and afflictions, oppressions of darkness. This is further explained that It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord (James 5:14, NKJV). Prayer and anointing oil are used here to heal the sick. There are other ways that God uses which is beyond the scope of today’s message. The presence of God produces Joy, Strength, Power in the inner man, Divine health, and Healings. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore (Psalms 16:11, NKJV).
The Glory of God also is the Cloud that consists of the highest level of the presence of God. The Glory contains the presence, power, and the manifestation of His works so that His people become glorified. Now the glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day He called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud. The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel (Exodus 24:16-17, NKJV).
You must experience His Glory by partnership with the Holy Ghost, in the place of worship and prayer where issues of life disappear, and we are transformed from glory to glory. Glory be to God.

The word of God is in my mouth. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, it is piercing even to the division of my soul and spirit, and of my joints and marrow, and is a discerner of my thoughts and intents of the heart.
I prosper in all my ways and have good success daily, monthly and all years to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus. My body is healthy and strong. I refuse sickness, diseases, and evils of this world. I exercise my dominion over devil and the cohorts of darkness. From today I declare my victory and protection in the name of Jesus.
