Your Devotional message for 14th Feb 2021
Scriptures:
For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17).
Explanation:
Effort of most people in life is to attain the necessities of life which are to eat and drink, in contrary the Kingdom of God brings righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. In the next 3 days we will explore these 3 attributes of the Kingdom of God.
Righteousness is the quality of being right in the sight of God, including your character (nature), conscience (attitude), conduct (behaviour), and command (word).
In today Daily Meditation, day 14 of 28 days, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating toour new series the ‘The Kingdom of God’-The force of righteousness.
The scripture says that “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).
And Abraham believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness (Genesis 15:6). Righteousness is a powerful force that controls the course of nature. For instance: Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34).
Righteousness is a gift imparted into your spirit as part of salvation. It is a standard of God which cannot be attained by human standard of right living. God is the Lord of Righteousness(Jehovah Tsidkenu).
The word of the Lord came to Prophet Jeremiah saying, “I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking,” says the Lord.“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,“That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness;A King shall reign and prosper and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely;Now this is His name by which He will be called:THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS”(Jeremiah 23:4-6).
Thanks be to God as Jesus Christ fulfilled this prophecy of Jeremiah and He became our righteousness.
Here are a few scriptures why righteousness is beneficial:
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33).
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death (Proverbs 11:4).
The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way aright, But the wicked will fall by his own wickedness (Proverbs 11:5).
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6).
I pray for you that you may enjoy the Kingdom of God with His force of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17).

Faith Confession of the Month:
Our Father, thank you for my salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, eternal life, and supernatural ability at work in me. The Holy Spirit is my Senior Partner. I operate in the Higher dimension of the Power of the Holy Spirit. I am more than a conqueror every day of my life.
Thy Kingdom come and Your will be done in my life as it is in Heaven. I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. It is written, “And my speech and my preaching will not be with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. My life is prospering, flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
