However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21)
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 13 of the 31 days of the month of February, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The works of God’ – By prayer and fasting.
Prayer and fasting are spiritual exercises that cannot be underestimated when it comes to the things of the Spirit. In fact, prayer is an act of spiritual communication that requires mastering. This is because there are different types of prayers and different kind of fasting according to the Bible. Though, it is the Father in us (Holy Spirit) that do the works, prayers and fasting will enable you to effectively work with Holy Spirit to do the supernatural works of God. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet (Psalm 8:6).
On one occasion, the disciples of Jesus Christ were faced with challenge to cure an epileptic son on a man who brought him to the disciples of Jesus. Jesus recognized and said because of their unbelief as they lack faith. Jesus Christ said to them However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21).
I pray for you today that your labour of prayer and fasting will not be in vain and that His works and Acts will be evident in you and through you in the name of Jesus Christ.

I pray for you today may you be baptized with Holy Spirit and Fire so that you will experience His wondrous works over your life, His mercy, blessing, success, and progress shall be evident in your life in the name of Jesus. Glory be to God.
