Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy (1 Corinthians 14:1).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 13 of 31 days of the month of March we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Lord, the Revealer of the secrets’. – The acts of prophecy.
We continue this subject of ‘The Lord, the Revealer of the secrets’ and today we will meditate on the act of prophecy. Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy (1 Corinthians 14:1).
In the Bible, prophet would give prophecy. For instance, Samuel told Saul:
Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man (1 Samuel 10:6).
The Valley of dry bones:
The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed, they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
So, I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” (Ezekiel 37:1-3)
According to Prophet Joel:
But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams (Acts 2:16-17).
For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8). The gift of the word of knowledge can manifest through vision, dream, thought, voice and feeling. There are many examples of these gifts in the Bible. Examples are:
Daniel revealed the dream of the King and its interpretation by the Holy Spirit (Daniel 2):
Then Daniel went to his house, and made the decision known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions, that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So, Daniel blessed the God of heaven (Daniel 2:17-19):
May you receive the revelation knowledge of God that brings the prosperity of God that will make you distinguished in life in the name of Jesus. We will pray to our God for his protection, provision, guidance, mercy, and grace.
Further Scriptures:
For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light (Mark 4:22).
Let us pray today: May you experience the glory of God that brings supernatural manifestation of wisdom, healings, deliverance, signs and wonders in your life, marriage, finance, business, and family in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Glory be to God!
