Your Devotional Message for 13th December
Scripture:
Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually (Genesis 6:5).
Explanation:
There are mysteries in this World. Likewise, it will be deceptive to think that evils and wickedness do not exist in the World. Unfortunately, many lives are ensnared in the evil day. You will be seriously erred to think that all the troubles and afflictions that affect men in the World today are only physical but are rooted spiritually.
In Today Daily Meditation, day 13 of 30 days we will do an expose on our new series called ‘Victory in Christ Jesus’ throughout the month.The purpose of this series is to gain and apply the knowledge of the Victory purchasedby the Lord Jesus Christ.But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57). In today Daily Meditation, we will meditate on scriptures on the victory in Christ Jesus and His Power over evils and wickedness.
Prior to Noah’s covenant we studied that this was the case on earth. Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually (Genesis 6:5). The act of wickedness was the reason for the Judgement of man by God.For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You (Psalm 5:4).
Devil and his cohort of darkness fights against men capitalising on their Ignorance. However, the scripture has clearly revealed that “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6: 12-13). These are the hierarchy of demonic spirits that controls and negatively influences men’s life, territory and even rampaging effects on nation. There is clearly evil day.
The scripture in Psalm 91 gives us examples of issues that confront people:
Verse 3: the snare of the fowler, perilous pestilence, terror by night, arrow of the day,
Verse 6: Pestilence that walks in darkness, and destruction at noonday.
Isaiah 58:6 bondage, wickedness, oppression, and affliction. These are the more reasons that deliverance is so crucial. There are wickedness in the heart of men. He devises wickedness on his bed; He sets himself in a way that is not good; He does not abhor evil (Psalm 36:4).
Here are a few of the other scriptures expounding on the Victory over evil and wickedness.
Thanks be to God. The Power of God has been vested on Disciples to exercise the Authority of the believers over serpents and scorpions and over all power of the enemy.
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).
Our victory was obtained by the blood of Jesus. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death (Revelation 12:11).
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled (2 Corinthians 10:3-6, NKJV).Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
In conclusion, know that whatever situation you are faced, it may look so terrible. Do not loose heart. Prayer and fasting are indispensable. Without His Power, you might see less manifestation and pray for the Power and Glory of God.

Today, let me challenge you that Jesus Christ has paid the price and wants you to be his disciple. If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today by repenting from all your sins and accept Him as Your Lord and saviour.
