Your Devotional message for 13th April 2021
Scripture:
And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease (Matthew 10:1, NKJV).
Explanation:
In our last series of Daily Meditation, I explained that Jesus Christ could not start His public Ministry until He was baptized with the Holy Spirit. When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him (Matthew 3:16, NKJV). Jesus Christ was baptized with Holy Spirit and Fire. The Power of the Spirit of the Lord is the same as the Power of the Lord or the Power of the Holy Ghost. Jesus Christ demonstrated the Power of the Holy Ghost in His Ministry in healing the sick and setting people free from afflictions and bondages. In today’s World, there are many challenging long lasting afflictions and bondages that many people go through in life. Some even count it nowadays as natural process of life and they must live with them.
Jesus Christ taught His disciples that these are the works of Darkness and He has come to destroy them. Although, He has paid the price, this is not automatic, unless you take a step of faith.
In Luke 5:17, is a good example. Prior to Jesus Christ healing the Paralytic, the power of the Lord was present to heal the sick. Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. Jesus Christ healed this man of paralysis. This was exactly the case when the multitudes saw this power demonstrated as he healed the Paralytic, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such power to men (Matthew 9:8).
Right from the Old Testament, the Great Power of God is exceptionally known to the Israelites by His Holy Spirit. But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord, and of justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression And to Israel his sin (Micah 4:8, NKJV). Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite (Psalm 145:11, NKJV). This power of the Holy Spirit is readily available today by Faith and through prayers.
In the Old Testament, the Power of God was upon the prophet or someone, however, today the Power of Holy Ghost can be within, upon and around someone who is a child of God through the Holy Spirit. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8, NKJV). In Acts 4:33 we saw that the Apostle was examples. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. The Power of God has been delegated unto His Disciples by Jesus Christ for different purposes. Many challenging situations orchestrated from evil and wickedness in this World will not shift except by the Power of God visiting the situation for freedom and deliverance. This Power of God is purposeful for Divine health and healings for your spirit, soul, and body as:
Power of His redemption: But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave, For He shall receive me. Selah (Psalm 49:15, NKJV).
Power for Healings for all kinds of sickness and all kinds of diseases: And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of diseases.
The Power of God gives Life to mortal bodies: The Power of resurrection is the same Power of God that raised Jesus Christ from dead has a Life-giving ability as in Romans 8:11 – But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Power for deliverance: Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19, NKJV).
Power against the enemy: Your right hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O Lord, has dashed the enemy in pieces (Exodus 15:6, NKJV).
Mighty power for signs and wonders: in all the signs and wonders which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt, before Pharaoh, before all his servants, and in all his land, and by all that mighty power and all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel (Deuteronomy 34: 11-12, NKJV).
In addition, the Power of God is not exclusive of:
Power for wealth: And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day (Deuteronomy 8:18, NKJV). Many in the World has sought power for wealth in a wrong source – from evil sources. There are many stories of such people subsequently faced with deleterious consequences.
Power for witnessing: And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus and great grace was upon them all (Acts 4:33, NKJV).
Following your salvation, you must continue to seek the presence, power, and the glory of God in prayer so that you may be empowered by the Holy Ghost you like Christ Jesus.
I pray that you will enjoy Divine health and healings as part of the Covenant with God.

Thanks be unto God. I have the power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.
The word of God is in my mouth. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, it is piercing even to the division of my soul and spirit, and of my joints and marrow, and is a discerner of my thoughts and intents of the heart.
I prosper in all my ways and have good success daily, monthly and all years to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus. My body is healthy and strong. I refuse sickness, diseases, and evils of this world. I exercise my dominion over devil and the cohorts of darkness. From today I declare my victory and protection in the name of Jesus.
