Scripture: Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree” (Jeremiah 1:11).

Explanation:

We continue today, day 12 of the 31 days of our new series called when ‘The Lord Spoke’.The purpose of this series is ushering you to a deeper study and meditation on hearing the Voice of God. Today we will gain an improved understanding of the theme ‘hearing the Voice of God’, more importantly recognizing the word of the Lord. Jesus Christ said that ‘My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me’ (John 10:27). Several scriptures confirm how the word of the Lord came to His people. Today it is not an exception. However, today the most authentic form is the Logos (Greek: word or plan) and the rhema (revealed). God has never seized to speak through His Word. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God (John 1:1-2). Abraham was not an exception to this. After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward” (Genesis 15:1).Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?”

And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree” (Jeremiah 1:11).

Here are a few other examples of the scriptures expounding on Hearing the Revelation Gifts:

The case of prophet Jeremiah: When God called Jeremiah, and He the Lord put forth His hand and touched his mouth. The Lord asked him saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” He was shown a branch of an almond tree. Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am  ready to perform My word.”(Jeremiah 1:12). And Joshua said to all the people, “Behold, this stone shall be a witness to us, for it has heard all the words of the Lord which He spoke to us. It shall therefore be a witness to you, lest you deny your God”(Joshua 24:27).Finally, the words of the Lord are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times (Psalm 12:6).

In the Month of October 2021, do not miss any day as we will be meditating on ‘When the Lord Speaks’

Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour?

If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today by repenting from all your sins and make Him the Lord of your life. Thanks be to God for His fullness, grace and His victory. Glory be to God!

Faith Confession for Grace and Power:

Our Father, Thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural enablement. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Teacher and Partner. Lord show me Your glory. I declare that my spiritual ears, eyes, and other spiritual senses are opened to His divine revelations.

It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God. I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!

Further Reading scriptures to meditate:

Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit (Acts 11:16).
