Your Devotional message for 12th June 2021
Scripture:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel (Ephesians 6:18-20, NKJV).
Explanation:
In our today Daily Meditation, Day 12 of the 30 days of the Great Power of God, we explore the lifestyle of prayers .The lifestyle of prayers cannot be overemphasized when it comes to walking in the Great Power of God. This is because Prayer is a citadel of Power of God. God is the Giver of Power, though God can use the laying on of Hands or impartation to transmit the Power of God. Have you ever been advised that you need to be taught effective and fervent prayers? I discovered many years back that different situation in life requires different style of prayers. For instance, you cannot be praying a prayer of faith when you are faced by a demon manifesting and required to be cast out. This is because the ability to communicate effectively through prayers is a very important subject. The disciples of Jesus Christ asked Him to teach them how to prayer. They must have known the importance of lifestyle of prayers. Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples” (Luke 11:1).
I discovered that prayer is similitude of an act of communications to God. Prayer is transcending between physical and spiritual realms. It is a form of communication to God Who is a Spirit. Therefore, if you are recommended to learn the Act of prayers as a believer, you need to do so with diligence. I was exposed to this knowledge as I read a book written by Pastor Chris a while ago and it is amazing the title ‘Praying the Right Way.’ The book offers you simple, tested, and proven principles of effective prayer. It also ignites in your heart an enduring passion for prayer.
Jesus Christ spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart (Luke 18:1). During the time of Jesus Christ ministry on earth, he did awesome and great works that even the Gospel of John wrote that “there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.” This is amazing Great works.
God’s expectation is that we would do greater works than this.
As I learned through the Scripture Jesus Christ was not actually spending several minutes praying for people to be healed but would heal the sick by speaking a Word, or in the presence of the Power of the Holy Spirit multitude will throng on him, others will receive healings through his touch, and by casting out demons. He was full of the fullness of God – faith, grace, and the power of the Holy Ghost. However, I studied that he would spend several hours praying at his closet.
In the brevity of time, we would explore next each of these prayer styles or even more so others such as Prophecy using prophetic anointing that Jesus Christ also used.
Understanding how to pray right is an essential aspect of Christian growth. Paul had suggested “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel” (Ephesians 6:18-20, NKJV).
Study the Word of God, meditate upon the Word, and Confess the Word. Apply and confess the power in the Blood of Jesus and the Name of Jesus Christ.
Pray fervently that the schemes of the devil be destroyed, altars and evil spirits behind issues be arrested by Fire of God in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Thank you, Lord for the Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding at work in me. I operate in the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the power of God. I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in other areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers in all my ways. Prosperity and success are mine to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God.
