Biblical text:
The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac, and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant (Psalm 105:9-10).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 11 of 31 days of the month of October, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Covenant-keeping God’ – God’s covenant is everlasting.
The covenant of God made throughout the scriptures is an everlasting covenant. God does not change neither has he ever broken His covenant. The problem lies with man not obeying the Law related to the covenant as was in the Old Testament and in the new Covenant.
He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth. He remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac, And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant, Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan
As the allotment of your inheritance” (Psalm 105:7-11).
Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him (Genesis 17:19).
“Therefore, know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments (Deuteronomy 7:9).
May you receive a dumbfounding blessing and an open heaven in this month, an encounter that brings transformation and restoration in your life and you will be distinguished in life in the name of Jesus.
