Your Devotional message for 11th November 2022
Scripture:
The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 11 of the 30 days of the month of November, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Encounter with the Spirit’.
Today we will continue our daily meditation (DM) on the Spirit of Counsel.
One of the seven Spirits of God as in the Book of Isaiah 11:2 is the Spirit of Counsel. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2). In this passage, God lists the functions of the seven-fold Spirit of God. One of these functions is called the Spirit of Counsel. The Spirit of Counsel means supernatural knowledge of God’s will for our own individual lives. The Spirit of Counsel is like our personal advisor, our helper, our guide. He tells us what we should and shouldn’t do.
I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons (Psalm 16:7). Apart from Counsel by the Spirit of God, there is the counsel of the wicked, the counsel of the nations, and the counsel of soul and human counsel which are earthly and can misguide you.
Example of a man who Had an encounter with Spirit of counsel was Ezekiel in chapter 11:
And He said to me: “Son of man, these are the men who devise iniquity and give wicked counsel in this city, who say, ‘The time is not near to build houses; this city is the caldron, and we are the meat.’ Therefore, prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man!” (Ezekiel 11:2-4).
Here are further scriptures:
“Woe to the rebellious children,” says the Lord, “Who take counsel, but not of Me, and who devise plans, but not of My Spirit, that they may add sin to sin; (Isaiah 30:1).
My prayer to you is that the Lord God will fill you with the Spirit of Counsel to know the will of God concerning any matter in Jesus’ name. Amen

Thanks be to God for my salvation, divine health, grace, glory, provision, protection, eternal life, healings, and supernatural ability at work in me. I operate in the Higher dimension of the Spirit and Power of God. I am more than a conqueror every day of my life. I function in the Powerful name of Jesus with great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. Infirmity in my body be scattered and be destroyed by Fire. I cast you out. Behold, I take authority over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). Prosperity is mine.
This month I shall have an encounter with the Spirit of Lord that will catapult me into my ordained destiny. I flourish in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
