Biblical text:
Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross (Colossians 2:14).
Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 11 of 30 days of the month of April, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘Our God – the Jehovah Rapha’ – Having wiped out the handwriting.
Jesus Christ did not only came because of the need of our salvation from sinful nature of man but he came and took all our infirmities and diseases. Everything that occurs through out your life is in a recorded mode in the Spirit. There is no doubt that something negative done called handwriting can be used against you for instance issues with sins, iniquity or transgression.
The scripture says ‘’And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it (Colossians 2:13-15).
The blood of Jesus Christ was shed for the new covenant. The blood was shed not only for remission of sins but we overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb. The blood of Jesus has the power to consecrate and remove handwriting of requirements in our blood line.
For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins (Matthew 26:28).
Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage (Hebrews 2:14-16).
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”(Luke 4:18-19).
Further Scriptures:
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death (Revelation 12:11).
