Your Devotional message for 10th October 2022
Scripture: The Lord is my shepherd;I shall not want (Psalm 23:1).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 10 of the 31 days of the month of October , we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series‘‘The Name of the Lord’ – Jehovah Ra’ah (The Lord is my Shepherd).
Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You who lead Joseph like a flock; You that dwell between the cherubim, shine forth! (Psalm 80:1). God revealed Himself to the Israelites as their Jehovah Ra’ah (The Lord is my Shepherd).
Sheep and shepherds are common metaphors in the Old Testament.The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want (Psalm 23:1).The Hebrew word ra’ah, meaning “shepherd,” describes one who tends, leads, feeds, and protects his flock of sheep. This is a covenant name of God that He will perform the role of a Shepherd to His people. Jesus Christ also fulfilled this role for us in the New Testament. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep (John 10:11).
I pray for you that May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and increase your numbers until you become a community of peoples in the name of Jesus Christ.

He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young (Isaiah 40:11).
I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep and am known by My own (John 10:14).

I flourish in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
