Your Devotional message for 10th June 2021
Scripture:
Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him (Genesis 12:7).
Explanation:
If you are joining us for the first time, you have come to a forum that will impart you with the knowledge of God. In today Daily Meditation, Day 10 of the 30 days of the Great Power of God, we will explore another key knowledge of the Great Power of God by doing an expose on the Power of Altar.
What is an altar? One of the mysteries in the Kingdom of God is the Mystery of altar. An altar is a symbolic supernatural system of authorization of contact of spiritual realm with an earthly realm. The knowledge of altar was not a strange practice to the Patriarchs of the Old Testament. Even pre- Abrahamic era, Noah built and altar to the Lord after His household were saved. Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him (Genesis 12:7). Following a defeat of the Amalekites, the Lord spoke to Moses and that He would utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. The Lord Spoke to Moses thus: “An altar of earth you shall make for Me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I record My name I will come to you, and I will bless you” (Exodus 20:24). So I will consecrate the tabernacle of meeting and the altar. I will also consecrate both Aaron and his sons to minister to Me as priests (Exodus 29:44).
The patriarchs knew how to build an altar for God following their encounters and revelation of God. For instance: So Gideon built an altar there to the Lord, and called it The-Lord-Is-Peace. To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites (Judges 6:24).
Altar is a platform where covenant is made and activated. A covenant requires an altar for its function and purpose. Altar gives life to a covenant. Power and Victory can be aided through your Altar of prayers. Altar may be a physical object, Institutional and people.
Jesus Christ did awesome thing by offering Himself as a living sacrifice on the Cross. The Cross has become the Greatest Altar for the New Covenant. And for this reason, He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance (Hebrews 9:15).
While Jesus Christ has come to represent the Highest Altar for God of Heavens, there are likewise demonic altars existing today used by agents of devil and to orchestrate evil and wickedness on Earth. These altars accounts for most generational problems if they are not destroyed through prayers. Devil uses these altars to orchestrate evil and wickedness. There are such as familiar and territorial altars. They are responsible for failures, unknown causes of mysterious health issues, marital failures, premature death, bareness, stagnation, misfortunes, and poverty and many evil works on this earth. Do not be ignorant!
These issues require thorough identification and prayers – warfare and intercession. The Lord is very particular about destroying demonic altars with the Fire of the Holy Spirit. But thus, you shall deal with them: you shall destroy their altars, and break down their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images, and burn their carved images with fire (Deuteronomy 7:5).
Are you facing challenges of life, stagnancy, poverty, opposition from wicked enemies in high places? To really access these promises, you must take the Word to your spirit through meditation on the Word of God. Study the Word of God, meditate upon the Word, and Confess the Word. Apply and confess the power in the Blood of Jesus and the Name of Jesus Christ.
Pray fervently that the altars and evil spirits behind issues be arrested by Fire of God in the Name of Jesus Christ.

I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in other areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers in all my ways. Prosperity and success are mine to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God.
