Your Devotional Message for 1st October
Scripture:
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (John 10:10).
Explanation:
Today is the first day of the Month of November. I would like to use this opportunity to thank God for keeping us alive to see another month. Welcome to the Month of November. It is going to be an exciting new series on the Topic: The Higher spiritual life in Christ Jesus. The purpose of this series is to explore a deeper level in our partnership with our Senior Master the Holy Spirit and what it takes to be in the spirit. In today’s World, knowing Christ and the Power of His resurrection are crucial to leave a successful journey in life both physically and spiritually especially knowing that the world is not free of evils and wickedness.
The scripture says, “the thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). The devil and his demonic spirits are figuratively referred to as ‘the thief’. It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63). If you are born again. There is a spirit life of God in you residing in your spirit. You must therefore exercise your spirit unto Godliness.
Here are a few other examples of the scriptures expounding on Higher Spiritual life in Christ Jesus:
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour?
Today, let me challenge you that the Jesus Christ has paid the price and wants you to be his disciple. If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today by repenting from all your sins and accept Him as Your Lord and saviour.
Thanks be to God for His fullness, grace and His victory. Glory be to God!
In the Month of November 2021, do not miss any day as we meditate on ‘Higher Spiritual life in Christ’
Faith Confession for Grace and Power:
Our Father, Thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural enablement. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Teacher and Partner. Lord show me Your glory. I declare that my spiritual ears, eyes, and other spiritual senses are opened to His divine revelations.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God.
I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
