Daily Meditation, day 09 of 31 days of the month of January, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The God of mercy and favour’ – Mercy to His anointed.
The Bible tells us how important the mercy of God to us as His anointed one.
God’s mercy is tied to his covenant often refer to as the Covenant of mercy. God can give mercy to anyone He chooses. The mercy of God can exonerate someone from judgement. The mercy of God calls the attention of God as if God shows pity or favour to you. “He is the tower of salvation to His king, And shows mercy to His anointed, To David and his descendants forevermore.” (2 Samuel 22:51).
Let us meditate on these scriptures:
Great deliverance He gives to His king, And shows mercy to His anointed, To David and his descendants forevermore. (Psalm 18:50).
My God of mercy shall come to meet me; God shall let me see my desire on my enemies (Psalm 59:10).
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever (Psalm 118:1).
The Psalmist prayed:
