Your Devotional message for 8th July 2022
Scripture:
Of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command (1 Chronicles 12:32).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 08 of the 31 days of the month of July, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Anointing’ – The Spirit of understanding.
Today we will look at the Spirit of understanding as one of the 7 Spirits of God. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2).
Wisdom, knowledge, and understanding are very crucial for the Anointing and for a successful life. Of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command (1 Chronicles 12:32).
It is therefore good to ask the Lord for understanding. Even the psalmist asked the Lord for understanding. Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart (Psalm 119:34).
For instance, He spoke to Moses that He has given Bezalel the creative ability and design. And He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship (Exodus 35:31).
The Bible tells us that one of the prayers of David to Solomon (His son), was to gain wisdom and understanding. “Only may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the Lord your God” (1 Chronicles 22:12).
A few other examples of the scriptures on Understanding:
The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple (Psalm 119:130).
Wisdom is with aged men, and with length of days, understanding. “With Him are wisdom and strength, He has counsel and understanding (Job 12:13).
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10).

Thanks be to God for my salvation, divine health, grace, glory, provision, protection, eternal life, healings, and supernatural ability at work in me. With the help of the Anointing of God, I operate in the Higher dimension of the Spirit and Power of God. I am more than a conqueror every day of my life. I function in the Powerful name of Jesus with great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. Infirmity in my body be scattered and be destroyed by Fire. I cast you out. Behold, I take authority over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I have the Anointing therefore I prosper, I continue prospering, until I become very prosperous. I flourish in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
