“I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! (Luke 12:49).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 06 of 30 days of the month of April we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘Our God is a consuming fire’ – Fire fell at Pentecost.
The statement of Jesus Christ shows that one of the purposes of His coming is to send fire on the earth. This is a distinctly relevance of the Holy Ghost Fire saying “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! (Luke 12:49). And of the angels He says: “Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire.” (Hebrews 1:7).
On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Ghost fell as of fire.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:2-4).
God will be faithful to us this month in preservation, restoration, and provision through His work.
May you receive the Fire of God that brings healings to your body, deliverance, and the prosperity of your soul so that you will be distinguished in life in the name of Jesus.
