Biblical text:

Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven! For His mercy endures forever (Psalm 136:26)

Explanation:

Daily Meditation, day 02 of 31 days of the month of January, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The God of mercy and favour’ – The God of mercy

Happy New Year!!!

The God of Israel is a God of mercy. There are many prayers and request by people in the Bible that is unique by asking for mercy of God. God’s mercy allows God to withhold punishment and shows unconditional love to people. It is like God rarely ignores prayer back up by covenant and mercy. We need the mercy of God.

Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven! For His mercy endures forever (Psalm 136:26).
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

And Solomon said to God: “You have shown great mercy to David my father and have made me king in his place (2 Chronicles 1:8).

The Psalmist prayed:

Have mercy on me, O Lord! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death (Psalm 9:3).

Further Scriptures:
Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord! For He has delivered the life of the poor From the hand of evildoers (Jeremiah 20:13).
