Your Devotional message for 2nd July 2022
Scripture:
But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him (1 John 2:27, NKJV).
WELLCOME TO THE MONTH OF JULY
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 02 of the 31 days of the month of July, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Anointing’ – The Holy Spirit.
Your understanding of the anointing and Baptism of the Holy Spirit are crucial to the Ministry of the Spirit. The Anointing is NOT only burden removing and yoke destroying power of God alone. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is the unction or the Power of the Holy Spirit that comes and empowers you for the grace for that specific spiritual assignment. There is a difference in access to the anointing in the New Testament dispensation as compared to Old Testament.
And you shall take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him (Exodus 29:7). This anointing was used for consecration by the priest. Also, Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and consecrated them (Leviticus 8:10, NKJV). Unlike today the anointing is in you if you are a child of God and the anointing oil is still in use to pray for the sick.
As a child of God, you have been anointed, but you need to activate it. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him (1 John 2:27, NKJV).

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God (John 3:5).
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63).
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you (John 14:26).

Behold, I take authority over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. My life prospers, continued prospering, and I flourish in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
