devotional message for today 5th march
Scripture:
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success (Joshua 1:8, NKJV)
Explanation
I have seen different practices relating to the Act of meditation. Christian meditation is indispensable as it is one of the ways to commune with the Holy Spirit. It may not align with other beliefs or Eastern meditation. The focus of Christian meditation is the scripture (The Word of God). Reading the word without saying it is not enough. In today’s busy lifestyles, meditation is still important. I count meditation as rehearsing your faith in your closet. To put the word to work, requires carrying the words from your mouth into your heart. How do we do this? You do not have to wait for your challenges before you do this. It is an effective way to have victory over challenges of life.
The word ‘meditate’ also mean to ponder, consider, utter, speak or vocalize.
How do you spend your day and night? Now let put the scripture above into practice!
Step 1: Choose a particular verse of verses in your closet.
Step 2: Ponder on it carefully and begin to memories the verse.
Step 3: Then keep saying it until it enters your mind and spirit.
Stay tune as we shall look at this topic further tomorrow.
Confession:
The word of God is in my mouth. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, it is piercing even to the division of my soul and spirit, and of my joints and marrow, and is a discerner of my thoughts and intents of the heart.
I prosper in all my ways and have good success daily, monthly and all years to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus. My body is healthy and strong. I refuse sickness, diseases, and evils of this world. I exercise my dominion over devil and the cohorts of darkness. From today I declare my victory and protection in the name of Jesus.
