Different type of prayers

Your Devotional message for 13th June 2021

Scripture:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—  and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel (Ephesians 6:18-20, NKJV).

Explanation:
In our today Daily Meditation, Day 13 of the 30 days of the Great Power of God, we will explore the different type of prayers as described in the scripture. We already discussed that the lifestyle of prayers cannot be overemphasized when it comes to walking in the Great Power of God. We will now discuss different type of prayer.
The different kinds of prayers that would help with effectiveness for Healings are:
The Prayer of thanksgiving – simply giving thanks to God for He has provided even before its manifestation or after he has done it. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me (John 11:41).
Praying in Tongues – Paul said that I wish you all would spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification (1 Corinthians 14:5). Spending ample time praying in tongues will edify your spirit and allows direct communication with God in the spirit. We discussed this in our previous episode.
The Prayer of faith – Prayer of faith is a form of prayer based on faith using the Word of God to pray for a sick by the elders or a believer. For instance, the scripture gave us the various steps here saying: Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:13-16, NKJV)
Deliverance and Casting out devils (demons) – One of the areas of prayers that most believers would find challenging is deliverance especially whether it is still required to cast out demons nowadays? Deliverance is not only required for demonic possession. God is constantly delivering His people from evil and wickedness. Casting out demon causing sickness and any kind of disease is crucial using the Power of God only. Some people have made assumptions that what about if the demonic spirit would come back with greater demons. Understanding that it is the Holy Spirit that would exorcise demon and not you are crucial. You do not have to see the spirit physically because they have no physical body. Part of requirement to attain a complete restoration for a spiritually mediated sickness would be to cast out the spirit behind the issue and rebuke powers and altars used as well. Jesus Christ demonstrated this Power over demons to us as example to follow. When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.” He further gave his disciples.
the power to do so. And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease (Matthew 10:1).
Prayer of intercessions and spiritual warfare –
We have previously discussed the spiritual warfare which also overlapped with Intercessions. Therefore, I exhort first that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. (1 Timothy 2:1-3, NKJV).
In the brevity of time, we would not be so much elaborate on each of these prayer styles or even more so others such as Prophecy using prophetic anointing that Jesus Christ also used.
Understanding how to pray right is an essential aspect of Christian growth. Paul had suggested “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel” (Ephesians 6:18-20, NKJV).

Study the Word of God, meditate upon the Word, and Confess the Word. Apply and confess the power in the Blood of Jesus and the Name of Jesus Christ.
Pray fervently that the schemes of the devil be destroyed, altars and evil spirits behind issues be arrested by Fire of God in the Name of Jesus Christ.
I will also suggest the Power of Positive Prayers Bible by Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo.
Stay tune as we shall continue further tomorrow. Remain uncommonly blessed.
In the Month of June 2021, do not miss any day as we will be exploring ‘Operating in the realm of God’s power.’

Confession:
Thank you, Lord for the Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding at work in me. I operate in the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the power of God. I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in other areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers in all my ways. Prosperity and success are mine to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God.

Further Reading scriptures to meditate:
‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ (Jeremiah 33:3).
