The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light (Romans 13:12).
Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 29 of 30 days of the month of April, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘Our God – the Jehovah Rapha’ – cast off the works of darkness.
The Bible tells us that the works of darkness exists and must be cast off and we must put on the armor of light as a defence against their works.
One of the assignment of Jesus Christ for us is that He manifested so that He might destroy the works of darkness. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light (Romans 13:12).
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them (Ephesians 5:11).
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled (2 Corinthians 10:4-6).
He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).
It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,
And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil. (Isaiah 10:28).
