Biblical text:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord”(Luke 4:18-19).

Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 16 of 30 days of the month of April, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘Our God – the Jehovah Rapha’ – To set at liberty those who are oppressed.
The Bible says that there are affliction and oppression of the wicked one. It is possible that a strong man can be responsible for someone to be under affliction or oppression. Thanks be our God who provided His Son to set at liberty those who are oppressed.
During the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ he set many free and deliver many from the oppression.
“My spirit is broken, My days are extinguished, The grave is ready for me (Job 17:1).
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord”(Luke 4:18-19).
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him (Acts 10:38).
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers (3 John 2).
Indeed it was for my own peace That I had great bitterness; But You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back (Isaiah 38:17).
