Biblical text:
“Concerning this temple which you are building, if you walk in My statutes, execute My judgments, keep all My commandments, and walk in them, then I will perform My word with you, which I spoke to your father David (1 King 6:12).
Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 21 of 28 days of the month of February, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The Ministry of the Word of God’ – The performance of His word.
The word of the God of Heavens may tarry with earthly time but will surely come to past. This was the case of Solomon when the word of the Lord came to him.
He has set certain conditions such as performance if he walks in His statutes, executes His judgements, keep His commandments and walk in them.
Then the word of the Lord came to Solomon, saying: “Concerning this temple which you are building, if you walk in My statutes, execute My judgments, keep all My commandments, and walk in them, then I will perform My word with you, which I spoke to your father David. And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake My people, Israel.” (1 King 6:11-13).
“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19).
‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ (Jeremiah 33:3).
For I am the Lord. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and perform it,” says the Lord God (Ezekiel 12:25).
