Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 22 of 31 days of the month of January, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The God of mercy and favour’ – favour both with God and men.
One of the factors that can make a man to gain success and be profoundly famous and prosperous is to have favour before God and man. Samuel became one of the prophets in Israel. It is very interesting to know that God has always been favourable to the righteous.
And the child Samuel grew in stature, and in favour both with the Lord and men (1 Samuel 2:26).
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men (Luke 2:52).
Remember me, O Lord, with the favour You have toward Your people. Oh, visit me with Your salvation, That I may see the benefit of Your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, that I may glory with Your inheritance (Psalm 106:4-5).
Lord, You have been favourable to Your land; You have brought back the captivity of Jacob (Psalm 85:1).
You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favour her, Yes, the set time, has come (Psalm 102:13).
