Biblical text:

A good man obtains favour from the Lord, But a man of wicked intentions He will condemn (Proverbs 12:2).

Explanation:

Daily Meditation, day 21 of 31 days of the month of January, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The God of mercy and favour’ – A good man obtains favour from the Lord.

One of the factors that can make a man to attract the favour of God is to be righteous or be a good man. It is very interesting to know that God has always been favourable to the righteous.

A good man obtains favour from the Lord, But a man of wicked intentions He will condemn (Proverbs 12:2).

For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favour You will surround him as with a shield

(Psalm 5: 12).

Remember me, O Lord, with the favour You have toward Your people. Oh, visit me with Your salvation, That I may see the benefit of Your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, that I may glory with Your inheritance (Psalm 106:4-5).

Lord, You have been favourable to Your land; You have brought back the captivity of Jacob (Psalm 85:1).

You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favour her, Yes, the set time, has come (Psalm 102:13).

Let us meditate on these scriptures:

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men (Luke 2:52).
