Explanation:
Daily Meditation, day 04 of 31 days of the month of January, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘The God of mercy and favour’ – The God Who shows mercy.
The God of Israel is a God of mercy. As I study the Bible, a very common prayer by many righteous men of God is calling God to show mercy. From request of Moses. There are many prayers and request by people in the Bible that is unique by asking God to show mercy.
So, then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy (Romans 9:16).
You in Your mercy have led forth The people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength To Your holy habitation (Exodus 15:13).
You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments (Exodus 20:5-6).
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not (Lamentation 3:22).
The Psalmist prayed:
Have mercy on me, O Lord! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death (Psalm 9:3).

Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord! For He has delivered the life of the poor From the hand of evildoers (Jeremiah 20:13).
