Scripture:
Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and the God who answers by fire, He is God (1 Kings 18:24).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 19 of 30 days of the month of April we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our topic ‘Our God is a consuming fire’ – The God that answers by Fire.
The God of Heavens is powerful and omniscient. For our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29). God Let us examine a few scriptures that gives us the knowledge of God concerning the same God that answers by Fire. The Fire of God doesn’t have to be visible with your physical eyes.
Elijah the prophet saw the children of Israel faltered between the opinion of God and that of Ahab and his four hundred and fifty Baal’s prophets. He instructed them to offer bull.
Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.” So, all the people answered and said, “It is well spoken (1 Kings 18:24).
They called upon their god and even cut themselves until blood gushed out on them.
And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word. 37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”
hen the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God! (1 Kings 18:36-39).
May you receive the Fire of God that brings healings to your body, deliverance, and the prosperity of your soul so that you will be distinguished in life in the name of Jesus.
