Scripture:
Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven (Matthew 16:17).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 24 of 31 days of the month of October, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Revealed Mystery of God’’ – Not by flesh and blood.
Who is revealing thing to you? Is it the Holy Spirit or flesh and blood.
The encounter of Jesus Christ with the disciples when He asked His disciples a question as they came to a region of Caesarea Philippi saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” indicates that Simon Peter was not under flesh and blood but Holy Spirit. Others says Jesus Christ is Elijah and others say Jeremiah some say Elijah (Matthew 16:13-15).
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:16-19, NKJV).
I pray with you today:
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him (Ephesians 1:17).
I pray that you will receive the light to bring revelation in the name of Jesus. May you receive the grace and revelation power of God and His breakthrough shall locate you in the name of Jesus Christ.
