Your Devotional message for 27th April 2021
Scripture:
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19, NKJV).
Explanation:
When I looked back into my life, I thought I was very ignorant of certain things about life and Godliness in my early days. During my University student life, we used to discuss and dispute the existence of demons and to think that it could be a Myth. Well, Holy Spirit is very Person that makes Jesus real. It was not long when I went through challenge of life that the spiritual root of that challenge was revealed to me following my strong rededication of my life to God and I received Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire. The reality of spirituality of life becomes apparent. The more I know the Word of God and speak in tongues, the better the ability to receive revelations by the grace of God. You see as a student, I was depended on my physical senses for Life and what I have been told and read in life, not knowing that Life is very spiritual. The physical senses are duplicated into the Spiritual senses as well.
The destiny of men is predetermined by God to be good and with expected end and hope. This is very Higher Truth, but why is Life a misery for others? This is where good and evil comes in. The devil’s agenda holds on to his three-fold ministry – to steal, to kill and to destroy and he fights against men capitalizing on Ignorance. The strategy of the devil is to make you believe that it is all in your mind and he does not exist. However, the scripture has clearly revealed that “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6: 12-13). These are hierarchy of demonic spirits that controls men’s life, territorial and even rampaging effects on nation.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold (Psalm 18:2)
The psalmist (David) said deliver Me from the sword, My precious life from the power of the dog (Psalm 22:20). Here demonic spirit like the witchcraft is called dog. Arise, O Lord, confront him, cast him down; Deliver my life from the wicked with Your sword(Psalm 17:13, NKJV).
The scripture cannot be broken that “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16). How do you redeem the time and the day from such schemes of the devil? This is through the blood of Jesus and the authority of the Believer. God has about over 100 weapons and Armor to fight the spiritual enemies such the Blood of Jesus, Holy Spirit, the Fire of the Holy Ghost, the sword of the Spirit and many. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled (2 Corinthians 10:3-6, NKJV).
Casting out the demons is real using the Name of Jesus Christ. The demons are fallen angels cohabiting the spirit of many in the society today and made them agents of darkness. Demonic schemes are known to influence negatively human health and wellbeing. Anticipation and prudency are needed, so you do not fall into their trap. I was praying for someone one time as I love to when the opportunity arises. My team and I were praying for this person who has a mental health problem. As we began to pray, suddenly a spirit manifested and immediately the person began to move like snake. I commanded the foul spirit to leave the body in the name of Jesus. This person suddenly took a deep breath and fell into a deep sleep and was delivered. This is an example of deliverance using spiritual warfare.
Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7). We submit to God. We use the Word of God, with different prayers and fasting to resist the devil and demonic spirits. You must learn to take Authority delegated to His disciples by Jesus Christ over the demonic spirits behind any issue even when it seems that you cannot see the demon but only its manifestation. You must cast him out with the Strong power of God that is greater than the demonic one.
In conclusion, know that whatever situation you are faced, it may look so terrible. Do not loose heart. For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:19, NKJV). Today, if you can repent from any known sins, hand it over to God. Submit to God. Learn how to resist the devil. Exercise your faith holding on the Word of God through meditation on the Word that the challenge can be faced out by God. I pray for your deliverance in the name of Jesus. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death (Revelation 12:11, NKJV).

The word of God is in my mouth. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, it is piercing even to the division of my soul and spirit, and of my joints and marrow, and is a discerner of my thoughts and intents of the heart.
I prosper in all my ways and have good success daily, monthly and all years to the Glory of God in the name of Jesus. My body is healthy and strong. I refuse sickness, diseases, and evils of this world. I take authority over every power of darkness and their cohorts to leave and go forever in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. From today I declare my victory and protection in the name of Jesus.
