Your Devotional message for 23rd February 2023
Scripture:
Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens (Genesis 19:19)
Explanation:
The Lord of Hosts is God, Who is a consuming fire. For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God (Deuteronomy 4:24). A fire goes before Him and burns up His enemies round about (Psalm 97:3). The strongest battle of life is not physical, but that orchestrated by spiritual adversaries who have the ability to kill, steal, and destroy people’s life in darkness. Hailstones and burning coals of Fire are spiritual weapons of God against wickedness and can be used during warfare.
As you plead for mercy of the Lord in face unrepentant adversaries and apply this wisdom in your confession and spiritual warfare, you will see with your eyes: “How the mighty have fallen, and the weapons of war perished!” (2 Samuel 1:27).
May His presence bring His deliverance, healings, His glory, His power, His works and Acts, His Word and Peace.
In today Daily Meditation, day 23 of the 28 days of the month of February, we will study and meditate on these scriptures relating to our new series ‘The Lord of Hosts’.

Lots was granted mercy to escape the Judgement upon Sodom and Gomorrah:
The sun had risen upon the earth when Lot entered Zoar. Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. So, He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground (Genesis 19:23-25).
Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind Shall be the portion of their cup (Psalm 11:6).

“As for the head of those who surround me, Let the evil of their lips cover them; Let burning coals fall upon them; Let them be cast into the fire, Into deep pits, that they rise not up again” (Psalm 140:9-10).
I pray for you that in this year the Lord shall bring to you revelation of His counsel, favour, mercy, blessing, success, and progress in the name of Jesus. Glory be to God.

Thanks be to God for my salvation, divine health, grace, glory, provision, protection, eternal life, healings, and supernatural ability at work in me. I function in the Powerful name of Jesus with great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. Infirmity in my body be scattered and be destroyed by Fire. I cast you out. Behold, I take authority over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). Prosperity is mine.
This month Our God, the Great Counsellor shall manifest His glory in your life in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
