Your Devotional message for 3rd November 2022
Scripture:
John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire (Luke 3:16 ).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 03of the 30 days of the month ofNovember, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series‘The Encounter with the Spirit’.
The Bible says that ‘For our God is a consuming fire’ (Hebrews 12:29). The Fire of God is an indispensable requirement and enablement to live a Christian life. Are all Christians received baptism of Fire? Have all Christians have encounter with the Fire of the Holy Spirit. John the Baptist prophesized the nature of 2 Baptisms that would come through Jesus Christ that is the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the Fire.
John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire (Luke 3:16 ). A Minister of God must be a carrier of the flame of Fire.
Here are the scriptures:
Be a Minister of Fire:
And of the angels He says: “Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire” (Hebrews 1:7).
The chaff shall be burn with unquenchable fire:
His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire (Luke 3:17).
Judgement on the wicked spirit:
Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.” So all the people answered and said, “It is well spoken (1 Kings 18:24).
My prayer to you is that you will have encounter with the Fire of God for a total life transformation and progress in the name of Jesus.

And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God (Revelation 4:5).
