Your Devotional message for 20th September 2022
Scripture:
And he built an altar there and called the place El Bethel, because there God appeared to him when he fled from the face of his brother (Genesis 35:7).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 20of the 31 days of the month of October , we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series‘‘The Name of the Lord’ – The place of altar.
Today we will explore and meditate on another great name of God – The Covenant keeping God. The God of Heavens made Covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Following which they built an altar unto God. The altar is a place of Covenant, prayer, worship unto God and sacrificial offering. It is a place of power and encounter with God.
Abraham built an Altar:
Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood (Genesis 22:9)
Jacob built an altar:
And he built an altar there and called the place El Bethel, because there God appeared to him when he fled from the face of his brother (Genesis 35:7).
I pray for you that May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and increase your greatness until you become a Battle Axe in the hands of God in the name of Jesus Christ.
