Your Devotional message for 5th July 2022
Scripture:
Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man (1 Samuel 10:6).
Explanation:
In today Daily Meditation, day 05 of the 31 days of the month of July, we will study and meditate on the scriptures relating to our series ‘The Anointing’ -The Spirit of the Lord.
We had already discussed the 7 Spirit of God. And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God (Revelation 4:5).Prophet Isaiah prophesied about these Seven Spirits of God that would rest upon Jesus Christ. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord (Isaiah 11:2). To gain further knowledge and understanding we will look at each of these seven Spirits of God separately.
Following the instruction of the Lord that Samuel should pour oil on Saul because the Lord has anointed Saul as commander over Israel. Samuel gave a prophecy that: Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man (1 Samuel 10:6).So it was, when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, that God gave him another heart; and all those signs came to pass that day. When they came there to the hill, there was a group of prophets to meet him; then the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them(1 Samuel 10:9-10).
A few other examples of the scriptures on the Spirit of the Lord:
Then the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and said to me, “Speak! ‘Thus says the Lord: “Thus you have said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind (Ezekiel 11:5).
So, he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts (Zechariah 4:6).
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed (Luke 4:18).

Thanks be to God for my salvation, divine health, grace, glory, provision, protection, eternal life, healings, and supernatural ability at work in me. With the help of the Anointing of God, I operate in the Higher dimension of the Spirit and Power of God. I am more than a conqueror every day of my life.I function in the Powerful name of Jesus with great grace and Mighty Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. Infirmity in my body be scattered and be destroyed by Fire. I cast you out. Behold, I take authority over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness. I have the Anointing therefore I prosper, I continue prospering, until I become very prosperous. I flourish in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, financial abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
