Your Devotional message for 30th september
Scripture: “Rejoice, highly favoured one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”(Luke 1:28).
Explanation:
Today, last day of the 30 days of our Daily Meditation series on Favour of God, we will meditate on Thanksgiving and rejoicing in the Favour of God. The purpose of this seriesis ushering you to a deeper study on the knowledge of God’s favour.
The scripture says,“You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favour her, yes, the set time, has come” (Psalm 102:13). If you have been following and meditating on those scriptures, you would have realised that God must have let you receive one favour or the other. Count your blessing and give thanks to the God of Favour. When the Lord sent an Angel Gabriel to Mary, a virgin betrothed to Joseph, pay a closer look at what the Angel said to her. And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favoured one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”(Luke 1:28).
Here are a few other examples of people through the scriptures expounding on rejoicing at the favour of God. There are several instances but here are just 3:
David rejoiced:
The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore, my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him (Psalm 28:7).
Jethro rejoiced: Jethro, the priest of Midian, he was the father-in-law to Moses. Jethro, Then Jethro rejoiced for all the good which the Lord had done for Israel, whom He had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians (Exodus 18:9).
Hannah rejoiced: Hannah was one of the wives of Elkanah, and she was barren and had no children. When she cried to the Lord and prayed. The Lord granted her petition.
And Hannah prayed and said: “My heart rejoices in the Lord; My horn is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies because I rejoice in Your salvation (1 Samuel 2:1).
Are you facing temptation or challenges of life and has been told there is no solution?
Ask God to show His favour on you and before men.
If you are yet to receive Christ Jesus, do so today and repent from all your sins and make Him the Lord of your life.

Our Father, Thank you, for another day. I shall be glad and rejoice in You. Thank you for salvation, divine health, grace and glory, provision, protection, and supernatural enablement. And I declare boldly that I am aglow and strong in the spirit, filled with wisdom of God; and the grace of God is upon me (Luke 2:40). The Holy Spirit is my Senior Teacher and Partner.
It is written, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power” (1 Corinthians 2:4). Behold, I receive the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me (Luke 10:19). I operate with the great Power of God for His great works – Healings, miracles and signs and wonders. The word of God is in my mouth and as I meditate, it permeates to the deep part of my Spirit, soul, and body. I am manifesting the great power of God. I rule over Satan and his cohort of darkness with the Fire of the Holy Ghost. I prosper in my spirit, soul, and body. My life is flourishing in all areas of life as well as my health even as my soul prospers. Success, wealth, abundance and victory are mine in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Glory be to God!
